What this program is

Tyee Restaurant & Motel sends work schedule notifications by text message to employees who have agreed to receive them. This is an internal staff communication tool, not a marketing or advertising program, and is not offered to the general public or to customers.

How consent is obtained

Enrollment is opt-in and obtained verbally, in person, at the time of hire or during onboarding. A manager informs each employee that the restaurant sends weekly work schedules by text message to the mobile number on file, and asks whether the employee agrees to receive them. Employees who agree are added to the schedule text list. Employees who decline, or who wish to stop at any time, are not enrolled or are removed on request — no employee is required to participate as a condition of employment.

Message frequency

Approximately one message per week (the current work schedule), with occasional follow-up messages if a schedule changes.

How to stop receiving messages

Employees may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by telling their manager directly. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact resttyee@gmail.com.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply, depending on the employee's mobile carrier plan.

Privacy

Phone numbers collected for this program are used only to send work schedule notifications and are not sold, shared, or used for any other purpose.
